This year will see LST focusing on the youth by holding a third time “GROM SERIES”. We are also invite our family from Jumpai boardriders this years and Our aim is to keep inspiring their dreams and ambitions of becoming championship surfers and rewarding their pursuits in academic/schooling acheivements and their high attendance i
n the LST programs of environmental beach and land clean-ups, mangrove restoration, swimming lessons, training and of maintaing our culture
The 3 divisions that will form the “LST GROM SERIES” are;
# Push in division U/12
# Grom U/16
# Pro Junior U/21
The first event of the series is to begin at Ceningan – June 22-24th a relatively unknown surf spot, this the most perfect left hander and right hander on our island, breaking close to the shoreline and providing an excellent spot for our “Push-in” division to begin their series.
The second event is being held on Nusa , Mushroombay ( biastugel)- 5-9 july a long mellow peeling left hander that offers and ideal spectators location for watching a day of surfing action.
The final series will kick off on 18-22 August at Playgrounds A beautiful left and right hand peak, that will see these groms pushing their limits, too turn their dream into a reality of being crowned this years LST champion 2018.
All dates are of a “waiting period” for the best 1 day of each event. Trophies and prizes and product from our sponsor
will be awarded to all finalists following the end of each days competition.
Everyone, locals and island visitors are encouraged and welcomed to come watch and get the Prize Give Away ,GAME and also support their favorite surfer , along with experiencing each of the islands different locations whilst witnessing high explosive surfing from the Pro Junior division, for the overall champion of the series will be honored with an awarded entry into this years Nusa Pendia Pro-Am event to be held Early October at Shipwrecks & Lacerations,comprising of 16 international surfers, the top 10 surfers of Indonesia, and our very own top10 LST open division surfers.
LST are welcoming any donations of product or gifts to fill the award bags for these aspiring groms – as this is a fantastic way to promote your product; as we are already seeing the generosity from persons such as Andrew Elder, Darren Handley surfboard,and also we support by our local community by Kodul beachBar, rockyfastcruise, Sammada beach club,tropical burger, and Newbro by donating surfboard, vouchers and surf accessories to assist our young members on their path of becoming champions.
